This communion motet took the prize in the Composition Competition of The Wessex Festival in August 2016, and was first performed by Wessex Voices in St Mary’s Church, Iwerne Minster, Dorset, at Holy Eucharist on Sunday 14 August 2016.
Set largely homophonically for SATB choir without divisions, its well-structured melody is complemented by the texture created by quaver movement of the inner parts.
This motet was selected for the 2022 London Festival of Contemporary Church Music, sung during a service at the church St John the Baptist, Wimbledon.
